The History of Raven Hall
Originally built as a family home in 1763 by Captain William Childs, Raven Hall Hotel changed several times before it became a Hotel in 1890. The remains of a 5th-century Roman fort are located on the grounds. The remains were found as renovations were being made to the property. As the house continued to change hands, many improvements were made. In 1898, a golf course was added, and tea houses and several lodges.
The venue now offers an indoor swimming pool and many other amenities that you can enjoy if you choose to book the venue for your special day. In addition, its location offers something for every couple to use to set their wedding apart. The cliffs that look out over Robin’s Hood Bay, the North Yorkshire Moors, and the beautiful hotel are perfect backdrops for your wedding portraits and candid shots. I have photographed many weddings at Raven Hall, and each one has turned out more stunning than the last.
