History of Beverley Barn
Beverly Barn, as a wedding venue, has a heart-warming story at its core. It all started when Phil Hagyard proposed to Yasmin Clappison in 2015 in the French Alps. Returning to the UK, the couple looked for a venue in the Beverley area but couldn’t find anything to suit their requirements. They wanted a space they could personalise and that allowed them to tailor the day’s events according to them. They also wanted to be able to choose who catered for the venue and the entertainment on offer. Failing to find such a space, they came across an old 1950s rustic dairy barn and gave it a new life – giving birth to The Beverley Barn! The quaint barn still retains many of its original features but today is a stunning and flexible events space.
Weddings at Beverley Barn
The Beverly Barn is an undeniably unique and beautiful venue. It is also extremely accessible, wherever your guests may be coming from – it’s a mere 4-minute drive from Beverly train station and is easily reached from major towns and cities such as Hull and York as well as coastal towns like Bridlington and Hornsea. If you do not have a particular wedding day in mind, or would benefit from some extra help, every couple who book at The Beverly Barn will benefit from an hour with Helen Davies, an expert in the wedding and events industry. She is on hand to offer helpful advice on planning an event, can offer supplier recommendations, and will join with you to establish creative concept ideas! Together, your vision will become a reality.
Licensed for civil ceremonies, you can exchange your vows within Beverly Barn itself or have an outdoor wedding in their beautiful Pagoda. Fortunately, you also have exclusive use of the venue, with no other weddings taking place on the day. If you’re looking to have sit-down dining at any point during the day, you can invite up to 120 guests. For the evening reception however, without sit-down dining, it is possible to have up to 170 friends and family celebrate with you.
If you still need further help planning your big day, lovers and owners Yasmin and Philip are committed to ensuring your event is as individual as you are – “our mission and purpose is simple”, they say, we aim “to create and deliver unforgettable experiences” and, as such, they will be on hand to offer help right up to the big day itself!

With beautiful wooden beams, stone flooring, brick walls, and tons of natural light Beverly Barn provides a blank canvas upon which you can create your dream wedding – it also provides the perfect backdrop for photographs as you can choose what you’d like to see within each shot.
There are several other buildings to make use of around the site too, enabling you to mix up the scenery behind you. There is The Cart Shed, The Snug, and The Garden Retreat available as well, each offering something unique.
