Your wedding day should be a joyous occasion. However, it is often more stressful for many couples than it needs to be. They stress over the food, the lighting, whether or not the bridal party will all arrive on time. If you’ve hired a wedding planner, it is their job to stress over the details.
You have one job and one job only, that is to look as beautiful as possible and say your “I do’s” when it is time for that special moment. As your Yorkshire wedding photographer, I am here to assure you that I have my tasks under control, and I am ready to capture the precious moments of your day so that you can cherish them forever.
One thing that I try to recommend to people who ask me for advice is that before you hire your wedding photographer, do your research. Look at their reviews. Schedule a meeting either virtually or in person. Chat to them and get answers to all of the questions you have.
It would not be a good idea to hire a photographer and find out that you don’t get along on your wedding day. If you are interested in hiring me as your photographer, I would hope you would want to learn about me and learn about my style and how I like to do things. Things will go more smoothly on your wedding day if we are both on the same page.
Communication is essential. As your wedding photographer, I ensure that we meet before your wedding day to find out your thoughts and plans for your day. If I am not familiar with the venue, I ensure I research it and look for natural lighting sources and different areas that may be ideal for your posed group photos. Talk to me. Please share your ideas with me. Remember it is your special day.
As long as I know what you expect and the photos you would like to have taken, everything will go smoothly. As long as we remain in communication with one another and you let me know if any changes are made, I will do my very best to keep your stress levels to a minimum.
I have my unique style when it comes to wedding photography. Before we finalise the plans for the wedding, I suggest a short, one-hour photoshoot so that we can get to know one another. It can be an impromptu engagement shoot or a pre-wedding shoot to get a good photo for your invitations or save-the-date cards. The photoshoot can occur at your venue – whether you’ve booked a classic East Yorkshire wedding venue like Dunedin Country House or a stylish Yorkshire barn venue like The Beverley Barn.
You will get a feel for how I do things, and I will learn what I need to do to ease your mind and allow you to be as relaxed as possible so you can enjoy every minute of your ceremony and reception and all of the moments in between.
Take a deep breath and remember that I am the photographer. It is what I do and I am very good at it. Many times, family members try to step in and tell me what they think you might want. Let them know that I have things under control.
I am here for you and your soon-to-be spouse. I will take all of the photos you have requested and more. All you really have to do is sit back and enjoy your day. Take in the beauty of your surroundings and enjoy the time you have with family, friends, and guests.
Your wedding day should be one for the ages. You have planned and prepared for months. I will be there early to make sure to get all of the shots you requested. My goal is to work as quickly and efficiently so that none of your day is wasted. If something comes to mind that you may have forgotten, talk to me so we can figure out a solution.
As your Hull Wedding Photographer, I am here to help you keep things going along a natural flow. As your day moves forward, I will check in occasionally to find out how you are doing and to see if you have any photo requests. My goal is to capture the essence of your wedding and the joy you share with your loved ones.
