You can enjoy drinks on the terrace after your ceremony overlooking the beautiful East Yorkshire countryside. It is certainly one of my favourite venues to work at as a wedding photographer.

Middleton Lodge, Richmond – North Yorkshire

Middleton Lodge is a luxury hotel that can accommodate up to seventy guests for the ceremony and up to 100 for the wedding breakfast. Middleton Lodge can also be hired for wedding ceremonies, including exclusive use of the Boiler House bar, three Potting Shed bedrooms, and the Lounge. Saltmarshe Hall, Howden – East Yorkshire

Whether you’re looking for a rustic, country feel or something a little more contemporary, Saltmarshe Hall in Howden, East Yorkshire, is the perfect location for your special day. It has extensive grounds, including a newly renovated library and two grand reception rooms. The venue offers a unique al fresco wedding breakfast option and a canopied patio area outside the white room. You can have a small ceremony outdoors on the grounds as well as have your photo session outdoors.

Rudding Park, Harrogate – North Yorkshire

If you’re looking for something completely unique and totally vintage, look no further than Rudding Park. The grounds of this stately home are a picturesque lake-side setting perfect for your reception. This venue has an elegant baronial feel and combines contemporary style with antique furniture inside – all in keeping with the property being registered as Grade II listed by English Heritage. Don’t forget to make use of their outside space too when spending time on the estate, which includes a golf course and spa. Rudding Park is ideal for larger weddings and includes acres of parkland. Any unique feature of Rudding Park is the fact they have a chapel on site. The chapel doesn’t operate as a church anymore but is available for civil ceremonies.

Carlton Towers, Goole – East Yorkshire

Carlton Towers at Goole is a popular wedding venue in East Yorks, and it’s one of the loveliest historic properties you’ll find on this list. This Tudor mansion has been restored to its former glory with large windows looking out onto panoramic views over fields edged by trees stretching down to the River Ouse estuary, which creates an ideal scene for photos.
