East Yorkshire Wedding Venues
Are You Planning An East Yorkshire Wedding?
East Yorkshire is a beautiful county with several smaller settlements littered throughout. The largest settlement within it is Kingston upon Hull with 257,100 people living there – however, the second most populated area is Bridlington with a mere 35,269 people! Other towns in the area include Beverly, Goole, Cottingham, Hessle, Driffield, and Elloughton-cum-Brough. Each town has its own character and offers something different for an East Yorkshire wedding.
East Yorkshire also has a varied landscape – there are low chalk hills and cliffs and the county is home to the Yorkshire Wolds, and the surrounding low-lying plains of Holderness and the Vale of York. East Yorkshire also has an extensive coastline, bordering the North Sea to the east of the county with stunning views throughout. As such, it is a beautiful and picturesque landscape in which to exchange your vows and gather with friends and loved ones for your wedding day. It is a stunning part of the United Kingdom and a great place to work as an East Yorkshire Wedding Photographer.
Where is the best wedding venue in East Yorkshire?
There are so many things to consider when looking to get married in East Yorkshire. It’s impossible to tell you where the best place is to get married as each venue has its own unique quirks. What suits you as a couple, may not be someone else’s first choice. While the sheer number of venues can be overwhelming, your choice is likely to depend upon several factors.
For example, firstly, it’s important to consider the location of the venue you’re after – whether you need it to be accessible by public transport for those coming from afar or whether you’re willing to spend a bit extra on taxis if the evening ends up being wilder than expected!
Secondly, it’s also essential to take into account the number of guests you’d like to attend – some venues are happy to cater for smaller weddings while others have a minimum capacity limit. Of course, if you’re looking to throw an extravagant affair, you need to look closely into the maximum number allowed at each venue – including whether this will affect the table layout possible inside each space.
Last but not least, there is also the nagging issue of price – fortunately, there are so many East Yorkshire wedding venues and as such, there is a place to suit every budget. When you think about your dream wedding, what theme do you envisage? Glamorous, modern, traditional, outdoors, or something entirely unique? You’re bound to find something to suit this theme and stay within your budget too.
Speaking of which, it’s time to move on to explore just a few of the different East Yorkshire wedding venue options available!
My guide to East Yorkshire Wedding Venues
This is my guide to some of the most popular wedding venues in East Yorkshire.
Beverley Barn, East Yorkshire
Born out of an idea by Phil and Yasmin in 2015, this venue is an undeniably unique and beautiful place and somewhere I love to work as a Beverley Barn Wedding Photographer. Failing to find a space that allowed them to personalise it as they saw fit, the couple converted an old 1950s rustic dairy barn and gave it a new lease of life. Licensed for civil ceremonies, you can exchange your vows within Beverly Barn itself or have an outdoor wedding in their beautiful Pagoda. Fortunately, you also have exclusive use of the venue. If you’re looking to have sit-down dining at any point during the day, you can invite up to 120 guests. For the evening reception however, without sit-down dining, it is possible to have up to 170 friends and family celebrate with you. Additionally, if you need help planning your big day, Yasmin and Philip are committed to ensuring your event is as individual as you are – “our mission and purpose is simple”, they say, we aim “to create and deliver unforgettable experiences!” So, the only question left is — what are you waiting for?!
